This so tragic!

Nevada needs way more severe laws regarding punishing drivers who use their vehicles as weapons, just as the writer said in this article.

I’m originally from Southern California and I’ve never seen a state where most people don’t even know the meaning of the word yield. They drive with their foot on the gas mowing down anyone in their path.
Part of driving is looking before your foot hits that gas pedal. That is part of driving.  What happened to that in Nevada, I will never know.
The pedestrian always and I mean always has the right of way. I don’t give a damn if they knit a sweater while they’re crossing the street! You don’t run them over.  I have been nearly killed dozens of times while living here and then incidents like this happen.
Why are there such a high amount of crazy, drugged out people here?
It doesn’t help when the state allows alcohol and cigarettes being sold in vending machines and vapes and liquor stores on every other corner.
What are your thoughts about making Nevada a safer place for everyone?

There’s a severe penalty for merely edging your vehicle on the cross walk and cameras are posted in every intersection to capture and take a photo of people who run red lights.

Hoe much do you think stiff penalties would decrease the pedestrian deaths in Nevada?  A lot is the answer.

I’m a pedestrian and I take the bus and I’m disabled but I go cross the street I’m 75% chance and roadkill and I really don’t want to be that way. The legislators don’t seem to care in the state they just say oh it’s Vegas and I have a really dipshit attitude about the way they do things around here. I can’t believe that my vocal recognition software actually printed that word! But we need to do something taking more care about the community, care about the big picture and make people accountable for what they do in Nevada if I do one thing alone let’s make that happen I’m not the only one that complains about it. I know but las Vegas is a place where people not only travel from all over the world to but I have a very very high incidence of drug alcohol dopers weirdos goofballs nuts and a lot of things that if I would have known and I probably never would have come here and live but we can change the way other people live you decide not to drink and smoke and Rick her life doing that kinda stuff. We need to protect the people who are addicts because this is a state of addicts. I don’t drink I don’t smoke I don’t do drugs I never did and never will I don’t even gamble. I’m on a fixed income and we just need to do something here. When the Fox 5 News Bulletin came on my smartphone that I heard 37 people were killed because I’m not when I’m sidewalk and this is not the only time this has happened here. A couple years ago somebody else did that right by the Paris hotel so legislators what you going to do about this? What are you going to do to try and make it so that visitors innocent people can go down a street can cross the street? At least 5 to 10 times a day I get a bullet in the somebody’s killed and there always a pedestrian. Pedestrians always going to lose cars are made of steel and metal and glass and people aren’t. I’m going to lobby to improve and make people accountable and every state in United States killing somebody with a car is called murder here its called a way of life you have got to end.
