Buttermilk Biscuits

The most important thing to know when making Biscuits is less is more. Try to do as little mixing as possible because the more the dough is worked, the tougher the Biscuits will be.

Begin this recipe by setting the oven to 425 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of cold* Flour, 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda, 1 tablespoon Baking Powder, and 3/4 teaspoon Salt. Mix all of these together until fully blended. Next cut 6 tablespoons of cold Unsalted Butter into 1 inch cubes. Cut the Butter* into the Flour mixture until the Butter chunks are about the size of peas. Next add 1 cup of Buttermilk and mix until combined.
