Healthy chicken fajitas

Dear readers,

I have yet another delicious and healthy recipe to share with you. I made this yesterday for myself and my mum, it’s actually the first proper meal I’ve made in my new home.











Ingredients (for 4):

  • 3/4 cup dark Mexican beer
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic gloves
  • 2 chicken breasts (about 0.4 kg in total)
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Salt, pepper
  • 8 wholewheat tortillas
  • 1 chilli pepper for garnish
  • Salsa (optional)
  • Sour cream (optional)


  1. Crush the garlic cloves and combine the first six ingredients, stirring well
  2. Slice the chicken into strips (a few cm thick)
  3. Put the chicken into a ziptop plastic bag and add 3/4 of the beer mixture
